Rivertowns Plein Air 2024
This year 50 artists from 6 states were juried in to the competition running April 10-17. Our subject: the landscape and life along a gorgeous 20 mile stretch of the Susquehanna River, with the towns of Columbia, Marietta and Wrightsville are right in the middle.

The first morning was calm and nicely cloudy, with a few showers. I took it in atop Mt. Piscah, at Samuel Lewis State Park. The view south was soft and peaceful. The view north not so much, but interesting nevertheless. I got a painting of each done. But it was a choppy start–I also got sidelined for 3 days by either a bad cold or a fast-moving flu.
